Fun.'s 'Some Nights' Video On The Way, Xylophones And All

'We're filming it through the middle of the night,' the Movie Awards performers tells MTV News of nocturnal clip.

Last month, Fun. promised that the video for "Some Nights" — the follow-up to their chart-topping breakout "We Are Young" — would be "amazing," which was a pretty big statement, considering they hadn't even come up with a concept at the time.

But now, all that has changed. Because when MTV News caught up with the guys last week to discuss their upcoming performance at the 2012 MTV Movie Awards, they let it be known that not only have they settled on a treatment for the "Some Nights" clip, but that, yes, it is going to be as amazing as promised.

"The 'Some Nights' video is coming; we're going to start filming it next week," frontman Nate Ruess said. "We're going to try and get it out as soon as possible. It's been really rough, because we've been on tour for the last two months, so we found a night off — that was all we get, and we have to rush to a show the next day — but I know we're going to make the most of it, because the director has a brilliant concept and it's something that doesn't put as much pressure on us, other than just to perform and perform well, and he's going to set an amazing scene around us."

And while Fun. wouldn't reveal all the details about the video, they did let a few plot points out of the bag — namely, it's going to be a nocturnal affair ("There are lanterns," Ruess said) and there will most definitely be a xylophone in play. Other than that, though, well, you'll just have to wait and see.

"We're filming it through the middle of the night," guitarist Jack Antonoff said. "And Andrew [Dost] is going to be walking with a xylophone at some point, not to give away too much."

"Now, you're giving away too much," Dost laughed. "All right, fine, I'm walking with a xylophone."

The 21st annual MTV Movie Awards air live Sunday, June 3 at 9 p.m. ET/PT from the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, California.

Is Rambo Coming Back? Sylvester Stallone Is Game

'The magma of Rambo is coming to the surface,' he tells MTV News.
By Kara Warner, with reporting by Josh Horowitz

Any day is a good day to chat with action hero Sylvester Stallone, particularly when the topic of conversation turns from the highly anticipated "Expendables" sequel to the always-anticipated "Rambo" sequels.

The last time we checked in with Stallone about the future of his famed Vietnam vet John Rambo, it seemed as though there might not be any more story to tell and that the hero needed "to stop running" and take a rest.

Thanks to our recent run-in with the main man at CinemaCon, it seems as if Rambo's rest has come to an end and we might see him rise again.

"There's a volcanic eruption [brewing]. The magma of Rambo is coming to the surface," Stallone said when asked about his thoughts on bringing the character back to the big screen.

So is there another story to tell?

"I know there is," he said definitively. "It's one thing where you lay down the final culmination of your life where you can articulate it, but also act on it where he realizes what his destiny really is," Stallone said, speaking for the character and how he might take a moment to reflect on his life and realize his work isn't finished. "It's not to be a farmer, it's not to be obscure; it's to go out in a blaze of glory in a heroic fashion. But is he really doing it for himself or is he doing it because that's just his id? That's who he is.

"I like the whole Mexican situation, what's going on down there," Stallone continued, hinting at the film's possible setting and building the plot around the real-life conflict in Mexico. "So I'm working on a formula for it right now."

'Dark Knight Rises' Viral Campaign To Unveil New Trailer

The Weekly Rising takes a closer look at how Warner Bros. is getting fans involved.
By Kevin P. Sullivan

The massive amount of buzz that preceded the release of "The Dark Knight" in large part came out of the film's intricate viral marketing campaign. For the third and final film of Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy, Warner Bros. has mostly opted out of a big viral effort, favoring sparse but mostly traditional material releases.

But with the arrival of the final "Dark Knight Rises" trailer, dedicated fans will find that a virtual hunt for the anonymous vigilante known as "The Batman" is on, and a new viral campaign is in full swing.

The journey begins at the website for the film. There you will find a full dossier on John Doe (a.k.a. The Batman) and the charges he is accused of: six counts of first degree murder, three counts of kidnapping, and 15 counts of aggravated assault of a peace officer; the list goes on.

The premise of the campaign is that in preparation for the upcoming Harvey Dent Day, the mayor of Gotham City has ordered a "redoubling" of efforts to catch Batman and anyone supporting his return. It's important to remember that in the world of "The Dark Knight Rises," this is all happening seven years after Batman took the fall for Harvey Dent's crimes and death.

The site also includes an extensive list of real-world locations where "graffiti related to movement in support of the vigilante's return" is supposedly located. The spots appear around the globe and include dozens of locations in the U.S. alone.

Loyal fans have already been tweeting and emailing from the locations listed on the site, and each location marked off the list has revealed a single frame of film from the upcoming trailer. The stills have been appearing one-by-one here, so if you scroll fast enough, maybe you can make yourself a handy flipbook.

As with the previous viral campaigns for the series, it's likely that we'll have to wait until most or all of the frames have been restored to the online film strip.

Be sure to check back here throughout the next few days, as we keep an eye on the campaign and bring you the first sign of the final "Dark Knight Rises" trailer.

Check out everything we've got on "The Dark Knight Rises."

Rihanna Reveals 'Boob' Envy In 'MTV First: Battleship'

Pop-star-turned-actress and her 'Battleship' co-stars premiere exclusive clip tonight at 7:56 p.m. on MTV, followed by a 30-minute interview on MTV.com.
By Josh Horowitz

Rihanna
Photo: Rihanna's Facebook

If there is a downside to what I do (talk to very talented, beautiful people), it's that sometimes you're sitting in between Rihanna, Brooklyn Decker, Taylor Kitsch and Alexander Skarsgård and you realize, wow, I must look like Golem next to them. But let's not harp on my insecurities. Let's instead focus on that genetically blessed quartet who star in the new film "Battleship," opening May 18. I'm pleased to report that they're a great bunch and absurdly entertaining to talk to.

You can catch my full interview with the gang on MTV.com following the premiere of an exclusive action scene from the film during "MTV First: Battleship" tonight beginning at 7:56 p.m. on MTV. Having already seen "Battleship," I can tell you this clip really captures the mayhem in this blockbuster.

Anyway, what did I learn in my chat with this group? Well, no matter how freakishly gorgeous you might be, the grass is always greener on the other side. Rihanna revealed she'd like Brooklyn's boobs (her words, not mine), and Brooklyn retorted that she's envious of Rihanna's um ... well, her ass. As I said at the time, this was the best debate ever.

Movies don't come much bigger than "Battleship." Clearly if you have a "Transformers" itch for spectacle, this is the summer for you. But if there's a side story worth talking about amid the 'splosions, clearly it's Rihanna. I spent a good portion of the sit-down with the cast talking to the pop-star-turned-actor and was duly impressed. Humble, self-effacing and quick to joke, count me in the Rihanna fan club from here on out. She's got the right attitude and knows she has plenty to prove as she makes the move into acting ("Battleship" is her debut).

And if you're not rooting for Taylor Kitsch, you are hereby my enemy. "John Carter" took a lot of knocks (most undeserved in my opinion), but this guy takes his gigs seriously (even if the films don't look all that serious) from a distance.

I know what you're thinking. They're all gorgeous and awesome? Annoying, right?

Taylor Kitsch, Alexander Skarsgård, Rihanna and Brooklyn Decker will hit MTV's airwaves Monday, April 30, at 7:56 p.m. ET to premiere the exclusive clip, after which they will stick around for a meaty 30 minutes of Q&A on MTV.com.

Check out everything we've got on "Battleship."

Ke$ha Out For Vengeance In Musical March Madness

'I'm getting ready as we speak,' she tells MTV News of this year's tournament, tipping off Monday.
By James Montgomery

<P>Last year, based mainly on her attitude, the fact that she <a href="/news/articles/1644961/keha-tries-to-shock-the-world-at-casio-launch.jhtml">plays an AK-47 shaped guitar</a> and the presence of photos like <a href="http://resources2.news.com.au/images/2011/03/13/1226020/684522-ke-ha-drinks-blood.jpg" target="_blank">this</a>, Ke$ha was given an 11 seed in MTV's Musical March Madness tournament &#8212; and promptly <a href="http://newsroom.mtv.com/2011/03/15/march-madness-u2-kesha-green-day-adam-lambert/">lost by a huge margin to U2</a> in the opening round. </P><P> </P><P><CENTER><embed src="http://media.mtvnservices.com/mgid:uma:video:mtv.com:747290/cp~vid%3D747290%26uri%3Dmgid%3Auma%3Avideo%3Amtv.com%3A747290" width="430" height="242" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowFullScreen="true" allowScriptAccess="always" base="."></embed></CENTER> </P><P> </P><P>Of course, she's spent the past 12 months fuming over that early exit, and now, she's going to get her shot at redemption. But just in case all that rock-and-roll prep work isn't enough to put her over the top, well, Ke$ha has another secret weapon at the ready: an incredibly toned pelvic floor. </P><P> </P><P>"I'm getting ready as we speak. I'm doing Kegels," she told MTV News, while throwing phantom punches at an unsuspecting cameraman. "Vote for me!" </P><P> </P><P><b>MTV's 2012 Musical March Madness tournament begins Monday, March 12, when we'll unveil the full field of 64 bands that will battle for this year's championship. No hay más Led Zeppelin

By

Usher To Preview Looking For Myself At Off-Broadway Show

Singer tells MTV News 'Fuerza Bruta' matches the 'more artistic' music on his upcoming album.
By Jocelyn Vena

<P>This Saturday (and this Saturday only), Usher will appear in New York City's "Fuerza Bruta," an off-Broadway show where no one speaks, but the story is told through bright lights, music and dancing. In the lead role of Running Man, <a href="/music/artist/usher/artist.jhtml">Usher</a> will also use the show to preview his June album release, <a href="/news/articles/1682140/usher-looking-for-myself.jhtml"><i>Looking for Myself.</i></a> </P><P> </P><P>Fans in the audience will likely get closer than they've ever been to the singer, as the audience stands during the performance, becoming another member of the company. With several weeks until his album release, Usher explained to MTV News at a rehearsal why he wanted to use this show to preview tracks. </P><P> </P><P><embed src="http://media.mtvnservices.com/mgid:uma:video:mtv.com:764205/cp~vid%3D764205%26uri%3Dmgid%3Auma%3Avideo%3Amtv.com%3A764205" width="460" height="260" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowFullScreen="true" allowScriptAccess="always" base="."></embed> </P><P> </P><P>"I felt like the natural elements as well as the emotion of 'Fuerza Bruta' would definitely speak or be significant to some of the stories and I guess hopefully a connection [was there]," he explained of tying this performance to his album. "When we began to explore different directions [for the performance like] maybe we use some of their music, maybe we use some of mine ... and before you knew it the idea came together. We tried it, I got on Running Man and it worked." </P><P> </P><P>The show will stream his entire album, which drops June 12, and he thinks the mind-bending artistry of "Fuerza Bruta" works with the sound he's created on it. "This is more artistic of an album than I've had in history," he said. "And I felt like yeah, it would be a lot for me, but I was willing to at least try it. There were many times I had seen the show and I only hoped that I would be able to make it happen." </P><P> </P><P><center><a href="http://www.mtv.com/photos/?fid=1617615"><img src="http://www.mtv.com/news/photos/s/spotted/banner/spotted.jpg"></a></center></p>

Beliebers Download Justin Bieber's 'Boyfriend' To Tune Of 500K

Singer's first Believe single sells more than 500,000 copies in its first week.

<P>As expected, <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/bieber_justin/artist.jhtml">Justin Bieber</a>'s new single <a href="/news/articles/1681935/justin-bieber-boyfriend-believe-release.jhtml">"Boyfriend"</a> has made an impressive debut. After dropping last Monday, the song has sold 520,000 downloads in its first week. </P><P> </P><P>The number is particularly meaningful since it places him at #2 in all-time first-week singles sales. Flo Rida's track "Right Round," featuring a then up-and-coming Ke$ha, has the Biebs beat, according to <a href="http://www.hitsdailydouble.com/news/rumormill.cgi" target="_blank">Hits Daily Double</a>. Flo's track sits at #1 with 636,000 units moved. Other big sellers include the Black Eyed Peas' "Boom Boom Pow" with 465,000 in downloads (#3), and Mother Monster herself, Lady Gaga's "Born This Way" selling 447,000 (#4). </P><P> </P><P><center><embed src="http://media.mtvnservices.com/mgid:uma:video:mtv.com:754722/cp~vid%3D754722%26uri%3Dmgid%3Auma%3Avideo%3Amtv.com%3A754722" width="460" height="260" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowFullScreen="true" allowScriptAccess="always" base="."></embed></center> </P><P> </P><P>Not only are fans gobbling up the single, but his real-life girlfriend, Selena Gomez, has given the song two thumbs up. "Is it my ring tone? No. I didn't even know you could make it a ring tone," Gomez told <a href="http://www.eonline.com/news/selena_gomez_talks_spring_breakers/305553#ixzz1qyrPXFed" target="_blank">E! News</a>. "It is a great song." </P><P> </P><P>Bieber is hardly resting on his laurels. The teen star is back in the studio working on <i>Believe.</i> He explained on Twitter that the album, for which "Boyfriend" is the lead single, will <i>go there.</i> "Here making music addressing the past and the rumors, clearing it all up in the music. Im putting it all out there on this album. #BELIEVE," he <a href="https://twitter.com/#!/justinbieber" target="_blank">tweeted</a>. </P><P> </P><P>He also tweeted out silly videos of himself acting goofy on mock-up sets of the "Boyfriend" video, which he shot last week. In one, he stands in front of a green screen of icy land and in another he stands in front of a green screen of a fireplace. </P><P> </P><P>Of course, Bieber already shared that there really will be <a href="/news/articles/1682156/justin-bieber-explains-boyfriend-video.jhtml">fire and ice</a> in the video. "The concept of this video, I mean it's not like a steady concept," he explained to MTV News on the Cali-based set in between shots. "It's not like 'Justin follows this girl to this spot.' No, it's a bunch of amazing scenes: Like a fire scene, we have an ice scene. </P><P> </P><P>"It's kind of like bouncing back and forth," he said. "And then there's scenes of me and just a bunch of girl dancers, and just some great shots, great artistic shots, great shots of me smiling. It's fun."</p>

I don't know if she's such a big fan; she just likes breaking the rules." </P><P> </P><P>So, when MTV News sat down with the 'Keys in Berlin during the premiere of their <a href="/news/articles/1678662/black-keys-gold-on-the-ceiling-music-video.jhtml">"Gold on the Ceiling"</a> video, we had to ask if their friendship with Ke$ha would take the next step: an actual musical collaboration. It's not all that far-fetched, considering both Ke$h and Auerbach live in Nashville ("I see her every once in a while flying by in her T-Top [convertible]," Auerbach laughed), and recently, the glittery one has logged studio time with <a href="https://twitter.com/#!/keshasuxx/status/160846424609787906" target="_blank">the Flaming Lips</a>. So, could we see a team-up on the next Black Keys album? </P><P> </P><P>"I guess, I don't know," Carney said. "We don't really do that many collaborations, really." </P><P> </P><P>OK, so if a Ke$ha collabo isn't in the cards, just who would the 'Keys like to work with next? Well, as it turns out, they've got their eyes set on landing a very big star for the next record ... even if they mistakenly believe he's deceased. </P><P> </P><P>"We both want to work with Jim Nabors very badly, but apparently he's not with us anymore," Carney said. </P><P>Oh, <a href="http://www.jimnabors.com/" target="_blank">but he is.</a> Which means that, much like Nabors, the dream is alive. The Ke$ha collabo? Eh, probably not so much. </P><P> </P><P><i>Should the Black Keys hit the studio with Ke$ha? Leave your comment below!</i></p>

Michael Jackson, Amy Winehouse Top Fans' Hologram Wish-Lists

Departed artists like Whitney Houston, Queen's Freddie Mercury and John Lennon also get mentions from fans in Times Square.

NEW YORK — After the Tupac hologram performance at Coachella made such a huge splash, the team behind the projection system floated the possibility this week of an Elvis hologram to perform with Justin Bieber. Even '90s girl group TLC is rumored to be considering a virtual version of the late Left Eye on their upcoming tour.

With all that talk, MTV News hit Times Square to ask fans which departed artists they would most like to see perform in hologram form. While some of those interviewed wanted to see other rappers like the Notorious B.I.G. or Nate Dogg, one fan thought Whitney Houston should get the honors.

"I love her, I grew up singing her [songs], just walking around the house when I was seven or eight," Shayana of Houston said.

Brits Amy Winehouse and John Lennon of the Beatles were also popular picks, and a few rock fans mentioned Queen's flamboyant frontman. "It would have to be Freddie Mercury because Queen were one of the all-time greatest bands and he was a showman," said a fan named Rob.

Blane Mader would like to see a hologram of another great showman, Michael Jackson.

"It's a really cliché answer, but in my time I've never seen him and it would just be something awesome to watch," Mader said of the King of Pop.

Members of the Jackson 5 recently announced that they would love to have a virtual Michael on their upcoming Unity Tour. "Wouldn't that be wonderful? As a matter of fact, we had that idea two years ago for Michael's Cirque du Soleil show," Michael's brother Jackie Jackson told E! News.

Exclusive: 'Planet Of The Apes' Sequel Rising In Summer 2014

Fox CEO confirms to MTV News that Andy Serkis is 'fully committed' to return as the rebel ape leader, Caesar.

If you haven't seen one of last summer's finest blockbusters or somehow didn't understand the implication of the film's give-away-the-ending title, "Rise of the Planet of the Apes" concludes with the highly evolved apes poised to take over the world. Where exactly the story will pick up in Fox's planned sequel is something filmmakers haven't quite cracked, but now we know exactly when audiences will get a chance to check it out.

"That will be a summer '14 movie," Fox head honcho Tom Rothman exclusively told MTV News at CinemaCon in Las Vegas.

Director Rupert Wyatt is locked in to return to the director's chair after the first film in the rebooted franchise grossed over $480 million worldwide. And Andy Serkis, who wowed moviegoers with his motion-captured portrayal of rebel ape leader, Caesar — a performance that without a doubt deserved high-profile awards-season love but didn't receive any — is also set to reprise his role. "Andy's fully committed to it," Rothman said.

But what about that question of when in the franchise timeline the sequel will begin? During the original film's post-credits sequence, we saw the genetically engineered virus created by James Franco's scientist begin to spread across the globe, thanks to one infected patient's ill-advised airplane trip. How much time will have passed between that pandemic and the start of the sequel has not been decided.

"I think one of the big questions they're wrestling with now, which is kind of the fun, is how far forward do we skip?" Rothman said. "When does it start? Does it start the next day? The next year? Does it start in 10 years? Does it start in 50 years?"

Part of that storytelling decision will also have to take into account a third film, because as Rothman reaffirmed, Fox is planning "Apes" as a trilogy. And he'll accept nothing less than scripts that are even better than the original's. "The script for that 'Apes' film was fantastic," Rothman explained. "We had the script for 10 years, and I always knew it was one of the best scripts. I just didn't think it was possible to do it. I thought it couldn't be done. ... We've got to have a great script. Because now, having made that good a movie, we better make the next one better."

Check out everything we've got on "Rise of the Planet of the Apes."

Usher, Lil Wayne Mark Justin Bieber's Birthday

'Happy birthday, slime. You in the club,' Weezy tells Biebs in birthday video compiled by MTV News.
By Rob Markman

<P>When it's your 18th birthday, you'll probably get well wishes from mom, dad, and, if you're lucky, your teenage crush. But when you're <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/bieber_justin/artist.jhtml">Justin Bieber</a>, you get shouts from Usher, Lil Wayne and Sean Kingston. Be jealous! </P><P> </P><P>On Thursday (March 1), the Biebs turned 18 years old, and his most famous friends hooked up with MTV News to celebrate <a href="/news/articles/1680191/justin-bieber-birthday-fan-questions.jhtml">Bieber's birthday</a>. "I hope that you are around all of your loved ones and having a good time. This is from big bro, from the heart," Usher said in a video piece compiled by MTV News for the Biebs. </P><P> </P><P><div style="background-color:#000000;width:428px;"><div style="padding:4px;"><iframe src="http://media.mtvnservices.com/mgid:uma:video:mtv.com:744682/cp~id%3D1680192%26vid%3D744682%26instance%3Dmtv%26uri%3Dmgid%3Auma%3Avideo%3Amtv.com%3A744682" width="420" height="236" frameborder="0"></iframe></div></div> </P><P> </P><P>The <i>Confessions</i> singer initially signed Justin along with his manager Scooter Braun, and he has since become a mentor to the pop star. So of course the 33-year-old Usher had to impart some b-day wisdom on his young homey. "Eighteen will give you an opportunity to do a little bit, not all, so we got a few more years before you can go all the way," he said, acknowledging the three years until JB turns 21 and is allowed to legally drink in the U.S. "Maybe I might even be able to sneak you into a club. Anyway dawg, happy birthday. I love you." </P><P> </P><P>Comedian Kevin Hart isn't buying all of Justin's birthday hype, though. "Whatever Justin Bieber is supposed to be doing at 18, he was doing at 15," he joked after sending his well wish. </P><P> </P><P>Platinum hitmakers RedFoo, B.o.B, Sean Kingston and Flo Rida all helped MTV News celebrate the occasion. Even <a href="/news/articles/1678337/justin-bieber-lil-wayne-studio-visit.jhtml">Lil Wayne, who was with Bieber</a> in the studio in February, sent a special message. "Happy Birthday, slime, the big one-eight. You in the club, slime," Weezy said, standing beside Young Money's Lil Chuckee. </P><P> </P><P>As far as birthday presents go, it's anybody's guess what his buddies will actually get Bieber. But Robin Thicke bypassed tradition and instead hit up the "Never Say Never" singer for a loan. "Send me some money, Justin. You got way too much," he said, laughing. </P><P> </P><P>But what do you get the young man who has everything? Sometimes all it takes is a few kind words. "Thank you to all the people that made the video," Bieber told MTV News. "It really brought a smile to my face." </P><P> </P><P><i>Leave your own birthday message for Justin Bieber in our comments section!</i> </P><P> </P><P><b>Happy 18th birthday, <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/bieber_justin/artist.jhtml">Justin Bieber</a>! Now that we've counted down the superstar's <a href="/news/articles/1680195/justin-bieber-18th-birthday-top-moment.jhtml">18 greatest moments</a>, stick with MTV News as we celebrate the milestone all day.</b></p>

'Dark Shadows' Sneak Peek Reveals Johnny Depp's De-Fanging Plan

New featurette is dedicated to late star of original soap, Jonathan Frid.
By John Mitchell

With just two weeks left until the big release of "Dark Shadows," Warner Bros. is stoking the coals of excitement with a new featurette that brings not only behind-the-scenes interviews and footage, but offers up an important new plot detail from the film.

"The legend of the vampire has been told for centuries, capturing the dark shadows of our imagination and inspiring filmmakers and actors to breathe new life into the undead," a voice-over reminds us at the top of the clip. "But there's never been a vampire like Barnabas Collins."

Depp said the idea to do the film came naturally to him and Burton, who have worked together on eight films. "I'd always been sort of attracted to horror films and things like that, even as a very young kid," Depp explains. "I said, 'Tim, we should do a vampire movie together.' "

And when Johnny Depp and Tim Burton decide to do something, it has a way of getting done.

A large part of the featurette focuses on the history of vampires in movies and reminds us that one of cinema's great vampires, Christopher Lee, is featured in "Shadows."

"One of my favorite moments I've ever been able to experience in a film was I got to hypnotize Dracula; I got to hypnotize Christopher Lee," Depp says. "He was, you know, the great Dracula."

To get into character as Barnabas Collins, Depp didn't stray far from the source material. "For Barnabas, everywhere I searched character-wise, I kept coming back to Jonathan Frid," the actor explains. "He really did something beautiful with that character on the 'Dark Shadows' series back in the '60s and early '70s."

Frid, who cameos in the film and is shown arriving at a party at Collinwood in the featurette, died earlier this month in his native Canada. The clip closes with an "In Memoriam" dedication to the classically trained actor, who maintained a close relationship with the show's fans by appearing at "Shadows" conventions and readings as recently as 2011, before his health began to decline.

The clip features some great new scenes from the film, including a fun bit where Depp's Barnabas seeks advice from Chloe Moretz's Carolyn Stoddard on "the art of courting a woman of this time," but importantly introduces a major plot twist that we wondered (all the way back in October!) whether Burton would include in his film: Barnabas' attempt to de-fang himself with the help of Dr. Julia Hoffman (Helena Bonham Carter) and become mortal again to pursue a romantic relationship with Bella Heathcote's Victoria Winters.

"If a man can become a monster, then a monster can become a man," Barnabas says in a voice-over while Dr. Hoffman surveys large blood-filled beakers and Depp sits with IV lines running from him. It's a story line carried over directly from both the original soap and its short-lived '90s remake. (Indeed, this particular story line was the focus of NBC's revival starring Ben Cross and Joanna Going.)

"By tapping into vampires, witches, ghosts, the reason they're powerful is because we all kind of experience those feelings on some level," Burton says of the film. "It's something that remains in our popular culture because it's strangely part of our everyday lives."

Just two weeks to go, "Dark Shadows" fans! Are you excited for the flick? Let us know in the comments!
